Jesus taught that when we serve those in need we are actually serving him. (Matthew 25:31-46) Serving others clearly puts our faith into action. St. John’s has many local and global service ministries.

Food Cupboard
We partner with other churches in Victor to operate the Victor-Farmington Food Cupboard. There is a small shopping cart just inside the entrance doors of the sanctuary for collecting cans and boxes of food for the food cupboard.

NIMS
St. John’s partners with other churches in Victor to operate the Neighbors in Ministry to Seniors (NIMS) program. Participants in this ministry provide seniors with rides to doctor’s offices, shopping trips, and light housework.

Community Lutheran Ministries
Community Lutheran Ministries is a collaborative effort of Lutheran churches throughout the area to provide for the needs of Rochester’s poorest children. St. John’s provides hands-on help, financial help, and help with special projects.

And lots more…
St. John’s also does: lap quilts for residents of nursing homes, Lutheran World Relief projects, Operation Christmas Child, Rotary Camp Summer Picnic, Thanksgiving Baskets, Crop Walk, and the list goes on. Special social ministry activities are planned as needs arise.
